1946 Screening & Q&A Brings Community Together
April 16, 2026
Holyoke Senior Center
Holyoke Pride hosted a powerful and engaging screening of 1946: The Mistranslation That Shifted Culture at the Holyoke Senior Center, drawing approximately 50 attendees for an evening of film, music, and meaningful conversation.
Following the screening, composer Mary Lambert treated the audience to a special live performance of a few songs before joining a thoughtful and well-informed Q&A. Attendees asked insightful questions and contributed to a respectful, engaging dialogue around the film’s themes.
It was a memorable night that brought the community together—one that was both impactful and deeply appreciated by all who attended.
